Undermain Reads: Joyce’s Ulysses by Stephen Foglia

“A warm human plumpness settled down on his brain. His brain yielded. Perfume of embraces all him assailed. With hungered flesh obscurely, he mutely craved to adore”

As part of its acclaimed reading series, Undermain presents a new theatrical adaptation of James Joyce’s hilarious modernist classic, Ulysses. Widely considered the greatest novel of the 20th century, Ulysses reworks the events of Homer’s Odyssey into the comical journey of a day in the life of Dubliner Leopold Bloom. On June 16, celebrated by bookworms the world over as Bloomsday, take advantage of the rare opportunity to hear Joyce’s words performed by a stellar ensemble of professional actors. Join us for an afternoon with humor, music, and Joyce’s own literary derring-do in this celebration of a masterpiece.
