Undermain Theatre’s 29th Season, the Season of Myth, continues with its acclaimed reading series at the Dallas Museum of Art. Join Undermain and their talented cast of actors for a staged reading of The Conference of The Birds. The classic 12th-century Persian poem of birds on a quest to find their King was first adapted by Peter Brook and Jean-Claude Carriere in a groundbreaking theatrical production in 1979. Come for the rare opportunity to hear this adaptation read aloud. Join the Hoopoe, the Dove, the Falcon, and other birds as they journey through the seven valleys to find a new King, and perhaps, enlightenment.
