Undermain Reads: Sacrifice by Rabindrinath Tagore

Directed by Ariana Cook
May 18, 2013 at The Dallas Museum of Art’s Horchow Auditorium
Undermain Theatre continues its popular reading series at the Dallas Museum of Art with a staged reading of Rabindrinath Tagore’s Bengali drama, Sacrifice. One of the finest writers of the 20th century, Tagore was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Sacrifice (or Visarjan) is a riveting drama of royal intrigue and the mythic struggle to end blood sacrifice in a Bengalese temple.
